Five different jobs that all use the same eye.

Editorial, unit stills, dance, comedy and events. They look like separate careers on a CV; from the inside they're one habit — find the moment that tells the story, and make it look deliberate. My CV actually lists my title as Editorial Photographer, so this is not a sideline to the writing. It's the half of the practice that has been paying and running longest.

01 — Editorial

Series built as stories, not shoots.

Concept, atmosphere, styling and narrative cohesion, run from pre-production through delivery. The Getaway

A lone thief in a red dress escaping across Los Angeles, structured in three acts: Act I The Chase, Act II The Calm, Act III The Reward. It's the single best piece of evidence for the writer-who-shoots pitch, because it was written before it was photographed.

03, 04, 05 — Dance, comedy, events

The work that taught me to be fast.

Dance

Three seasons touring nationally: Kids Artistic Review, Rainbow Dance Competition and Ultra Dance Competition across the 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons, plus the NICArt Foundation (Mar 2024).

Competition floors are the hardest shooting conditions I work in — unpredictable lighting, no second takes, hundreds of routines a weekend. If you want someone who won't panic on your show, this is the credit to look at.

Comedy

Fox and the Hounds (Dec 2025–present) and Imposter Syndrome Comedy (Dec 2023–2024).

Dark rooms, moving performers, and a need for images that are funny rather than merely in focus. Good practice for reading a beat before it happens.

Events and stage

Liv and Di (Oct 2025), plus concerts and stage productions across Los Angeles.

Before all of it: Senior Portraits Photographer at Lifetouch (Jun 2022–Aug 2023), which is where you learn to make a stranger comfortable in about forty seconds.
