He taught screenwriting at UCLA
Four terms of Introductory Screenwriting (FTV 33) as a teaching associate and assistant, plus two terms of English Composition 3 in UCLA Writing Programs — all while completing the MFA. Since 2024 he has run Digital Photography and the AP art track in the arts department at St. Paul High School in Los Angeles. For a writer three years out, this is the most independently checkable thing in the file: it is on a university course record.

Why it matters to a room
Teaching FTV 33 four times means four cohorts of first drafts read, marked and talked through — structure, scene economy, format. He gives notes for a living and has done since 2023. That is the part of a staff job most young writers cannot evidence.
Writing beyond screen
Two terms of English Composition 3 in UCLA Writing Programs, in the same academic years as the screenwriting sections. Prose instruction, argument and revision — useful on documentary, unscripted and development work.
